Emergency Kits
Our troop sold Emergency kits to raise money for various scout camping trips, activities, gear, and more. We sell Emergency kits to follow the Scouting America motto of "Being Prepared." We sell 3 types of kits from the company "Ready America."
1. One person 1 day Emergency Kit: "Basic life saving supplies needed for: Hikes, Day Excursions, Evacuation, and Emergencies. Sustains 1 person for 8 hours."
2. One person 3 day Emergency Kit: "Each Kit contains enough emergency supplies to sustain one person for three days. The three basic essentials, as recommended by the American Red Cross, are in every handy backpack. Store it wherever it can be easily accessed in an emergency."
3. One person 3 day Deluxe Emergency Kit: "Because we never know when there will be an emergency situation, it’s wise to always be prepared. To avoid being caught unprepared, make sure that you have the 1 Person Deluxe Emergency Kit on hand at home, at school and at the office."

Hot Cocoa & Cookie Sales
In addition to Emergency Kits, the troop also has Hot Cocoa and Bake sales during the holiday season. We bring hot water and cocoa mix to give to folks walking by. Scouts will also bring baked goods from home to sell. This could include cookies, brownies, cupcakes, or whatever the scouts decide to bake. We host these sales at various locations. In the past we have fundraised at Christmas Tree Lane, and South Shore. We also sell the Emergency Kits at these bake sales. Furthermore, scouts will also reach out to family and friends to sell the emergency kits for the troop.
