Timeline to Commit to Outings

posted Mar 19, 2009 9:22 AM by Margaret Rosen

In order to reserve campsites for certain outings, we need to know how many Scouts will be attending an outing at least THREE MONTHS IN ADVANCE.  If we don't have a complete head count, we will have to estimate when we reserve spots.

The meal planning for overnight outings is usually done the Wednesday which is a week and a half before the outing.  The shopping trip is usually the weekend before the outing.  The Scouts pack the purchased food into separate meals (serving eight) the Wednesday before the outing.  Food will only be purchased for Scouts who have committed to the trip A WEEK AND A HALF IN ADVANCE.  We need to know how many Scouts are going when we plan the meals.

If your Scout didn't commit to the outing at least a week and a half in advance, he will be allowed to come on the outing only if there is room in the cars and at the campsite, and if there is enough food.

Old Site Migrated

The material from the old MSN site has been migrated to http://troop73alameda.multiply.com/

The auto-migrated site is not particularly well organized, but all has been preserved so that we have it to refer to at need!

Moving Our Site

posted Nov 13, 2008 1:05 AM by Lee Rosen

Troop 73 Alameda is moving to Google Sites from our old MSN site, http://groups.msn.com/Troop73Alameda/yourwebpage1.msnw due to the impending shutdown of MSN groups.  Info that has not yet made its way here will still be available on the old site until we have it migrated to Multiply to keep from losing thing permanently (sometime before February 2009).

Hope you like the new digs!
